I've just started worrying about how I am going to dress myself while pregnant. Robert and I don't ever go shopping for new clothes because we like to save as much money as possible for other things in life, but I guess I just realized that I'm absolutely not going to fit into my current wardrobe for much longer. It just makes me crazy to know that I'm going to have to spend money on something that I'll only get to wear for 9 months or so! Plus, I'm going to be pregnant in the really hot summer and the really cold winter, which means I'll have to buy two separate season's worth of clothes. :( I think I will start in the thrift stores and maybe even sew up some of my own creations.
If any of you have any suggestions on how to dress yourself on a non-existant budget while growing a baby inside of you, please let me know. :)
I can't remember if I've told you yet but CONGRATS...I blame it on lack of sleep. Jeff and I are so excited and happy for you guys!
ReplyDeleteAs far as maternity clothes, I bought some stuff from a consignment store and then the rest at Old Navy. I tried to make as many of my normal clothes work as long as possible. I really didn't buy much and wore a lot of the same stuff over and over again. I don't think anyone really paid attention anyway. :) Let me know if you'd like to borrow any of my clothes!
Yeah, the problem is that I don't have many clothes to begin with, so I'm having trouble making anything work that's not sweat pants and tshirts. As soon as I need to dress up or look cute, I'm out of luck! lol I'd love to borrow some of the stuff you wore, if it's my size!
